Overview

This full-day speedboat excursion connects three of the Gulf of Thailand's most celebrated islands in a single voyage: Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, and Koh Nang Yuan. Departing from northern Koh Samui, the tour travels across open water to showcase vibrant coral reefs, shallow bays, and postcard-perfect coastal scenery.

The journey begins with a cruise toward Koh Phangan for a morning snorkel at Koh Ma, a small islet linked to the mainland by a sandy spit. Koh Ma's protected waters harbor shallow coral gardens populated by parrotfish, damselfish, and colorful anemones. From there, the boat continues north to Koh Tao, where deep granite bays and clear waters provide prime conditions for open-water snorkeling over bustling marine ecosystems.

Around midday, step ashore on Koh Tao to savor a Thai buffet lunch at a beachside restaurant, followed by leisure time to lounge on the sand or explore the bay by kayak. In the afternoon, cross the narrow channel to Koh Nang Yuan, three picturesque islets connected by a distinctive white sandbar. Visitors can snorkel right off the beach in the shallow Japanese Gardens reef, sunbathe on the sand, or climb the wooden stairs and rocky path to the famous viewpoint overlooking the linked islands.

Speedboat groups typically accommodate 25 to 35 guests, supported by an experienced captain and crew throughout the day. The crossing between Samui and Koh Tao takes approximately 75 to 90 minutes each way across open sea. While the boat's canopy roof provides sun cover, sea spray and passing showers are common, so bringing a waterproof bag for personal belongings is strongly advised.
