Full-Day Tan and Pig Island

Overview

Spend a full day under sail on the spacious Dragon King, a catamaran made for social gatherings, private celebrations and relaxed fishing trips. You leave from Thong Krut Pier on the south coast of Koh Samui. You then have the whole day to explore the quiet archipelago to the south, without watching the clock.

What makes this day special

The long itinerary lets you enjoy two very different islands at an easy pace. The first is Koh Tan, with its sheltered bays and coral reefs. The second is Koh Madsum, better known as Pig Island, with fine white sand, a rustic thatched-roof beach bar and friendly protected pigs that wander along the shore.

  • Snorkel over the reefs of Koh Tan, swim in clear water or paddle the bay on a stand-up paddleboard.
  • Step ashore at Pig Island for photos with the resident pigs and a drink at the beach bar.
  • Cast a line with the on-board rods and lures, guided by a captain who knows the local waters.
  • Cook your own catch or any fresh meat and seafood you bring on the on-board grill. Using the grill costs nothing, and an optional chef service is available if you prefer someone else to cook.
  • Bring the drinks you like. There is no corkage fee.
  • Finish with a slow sail back along the southern coast in the golden light of late afternoon and sunset.

The deck has wide trampolines for lounging, plus a shaded seating area. The boat also carries inflatable water toys, paddleboards, a dinghy and cooler boxes with ice. This is a private charter for up to 10 guests, so the group sets the pace.

Full-Day Koh Phangan

Overview

This private full-day sail takes the Dragon King east from Thong Krut Pier to the shores of Koh Phangan. It is a much longer trip than the usual local islands. Most of the day is spent under sail, so you get real open-sea cruising followed by time at anchor in a quiet bay.

A day built around the sailing

The route has a wide-open feel that suits groups who like being on the water. The crew trim the sails and pick a calm, sheltered spot on Koh Phangan's coast for swimming and snorkeling. You can also paddle, float or fish.

  • A long, scenic crossing with plenty of time for trolling and bottom fishing, guided by the fishing captain.
  • Swimming, snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding in a calm bay off Koh Phangan.
  • An on-board barbecue lunch. Bring your own fresh meat and seafood to grill at no extra charge, or add the optional chef service.
  • An open corkage policy, so you can bring the drinks you like.
  • A return sail in the soft light of late afternoon, with sunset on the way back to Samui.

The catamaran has a wide deck with trampolines and a sheltered lounge. It carries snorkeling gear, paddleboards, inflatable toys, a dinghy and ice boxes. The sailing time and the pace depend on wind and sea conditions, and the captain adjusts the route to keep the day comfortable and safe. The charter is private for up to 10 guests.
